Hello les pingouinophiles ! 
Voila le topo : j'ai une carte graphique Matrox QID, quadri écran, et j'aimerais bien exploiter un bureau sur 3 écrans.
Pour le moment, seul un écran fonctionne. Suivant ce document j'ai modifié mon fichier xorg.conf ainsi :

Aucune erreur, il se lance bien, seulement je n'ai qu'un écran. Idem dans la configuration de la résolution.

Je n'ai pas d'idée précise sur ce qui cloche mais juste un renvoi sur le planet d'ubuntu du 9/10/2006 qui fait le point sur le multi écrans sous ubuntu http://planet.ubuntu-fr.org/
Peut être que tu pourrais y trouver les indications qui te manquent ? |

Bon bah absolument aucun effet.
Tout les tuto traitent d'ATI ou de NVidia, sauf que je n'ai ni l'une ni l'autre, mais une Matrox.
J'ai essayé d'utiliser le pilote mga, mais a priori ce n'est pas le bon, je n'ai pas d'affichage. |

Bienvenue dans le topic des rebus de l'informatique alternative multi-écran ! 
Bah regarde le fichier xorg.conf que j'ai fais, teste le même mais avec 2 écrans. Regarde les sections Device, Monitor, Screen et Layout (pas le début quoi).
Après je sais pas si tu connais les commandes :
ctrl+alt+F1 pour aller en mode console, udo /etc/init.d/gdm stop pour stopper ensuite le login graphique, startx pour relancer le serveur X. Comme ça tu peux tester ton fichier tranquille. |

j'ai aussi eu du mal à faire marcher mon bi ecran (17crt et 19tft) sous archlinux, mais le plus dur a été de les faire fonctionner tout les 2 à un refresh different
mais ca marche, et sous ubuntu aussi, voila mon conf si ca peut t'aider (j'ai enlevé les sections inutiles)
